the rules
How the score works.
Marks, then lines
- M for a method, A for accuracy, R for a reason, N for an answer with no working, AG when the answer is given
- A mark in brackets, such as (A1), can be implied by later work: here it counts as A1
- Each line you write is compared with what the markscheme expects: an equivalent expression, the right value, the right equation or the key words. ✓ means recognised
Score, prediction, titles
- Score: the marks you earn. Prediction: parts right at the first try. Lines: steps written right
- Right first time earns every mark; on the second try, half; after that, the markscheme
- Titles come with your score:
- Candidate0 marks
- Method finder10 marks
- Mark spotter25 marks
- Sharp marker40 marks
- Examiner's eye60 marks
- Moderator100 marks
- Hence master150 marks
